
Quick tips about Japan
Official Currency: Japanese Yen (¥). Make sure you have cash with you as many places will require cash payment. Some places accept credit cards, but a lot of them don’t. You can easily take out cash from any ATM machines from local convenience stores like 7-Eleven and Family Mart.
Electricity: The standard voltage is 100V. The power socket is type A & B. It is the same as North and Central America plugs.
Data and Wifi: Rent pocket wifi and or purchase a local SIM card when you arrive in Japan.
