I’ve always loved Bali! Even before going to the

I’ve always loved Bali! Even before going to the island, I knew I would love it there. And I feel lucky to have spent 2 months on the island.
.
But lockdown was really hard. It was tough on me physically and mentally. I’m a wanderer at heart and like to see things and do things. And I couldn’t. It made me feel trapped.
.
So I decided to leave and book the next flight out. It was a hard decision, but I know it's the right one for me.
.
But I’ll be back, Bali. 💕💕💕

It’ll be a while until I have another chia seed

It’ll be a while until I have another chia seed smoothie at Crate Cafe in Canggu. Indonesia is in lockdown. This includes Bali.
.
It started on July 3 and will continue until the 20th.
.
It means no eating in, supermarkets and other markets are closed at 8 pm. And beaches are closed!
.
But I am staying in a nice villa so I can’t really complain. So far so good!
.
How are you guys doing? Hope it is better where you live!

I’ve been pretty quiet online…because I was hatching an escape plan. And now I'm in Bali!
.
Living in Bali has been a dream of mine for a long time, but I never thought I’d be here during the pandemic.
.
And before coming here, I really thought about staying safe and healthy and what it would mean to move away from my family.
.
I knew I wouldn’t travel until I am vaccinated. And so, after my second jab, I took the first opportunity to fly to Indonesia.
.
It wasn’t easy, though. I had flight cancellations and had coordinate my quarantine stay in Jakarta, etc.
.
But finally, I am here. 💕
.
I’m wondering, though…would you take the opportunity to go somewhere or is it safer to stay at home?

Since I started travelling solo, she also joined me on several trips. So many good memories!

I've been thinking alot the past few days about ev

I've been thinking alot the past few days about everything that is happening around the world in regards to hate, racism and violence against women.
.
As a solo female traveller and someone who is of Chinese descent, the recent events have shook me to the core.
.
I’ve travelled solo for most of my life and I am completely aware of my safety, how I blend into the community or how I stand out.
.
And I’ve always had to practice safety precautions wherever I go. It doesn’t matter if it is a new place or even in my hometown. I always behave in such a way so I don’t create too much attention and try to keep out of trouble.
.
While I don’t feel my race and gender have been limiting factors in my life, but if I am being honest, I am tired of always fending for myself.
.
So how do we do better? I can only hope that we grow and learn from the past and be more loving as a community.
.
Sending love to all the women, to my Asian community and to everyone who needs ❤️ right now.
